This is the first step. Neshia is a Singer/Lyricist who is looking to put a band together. She has original music and is interested in new music to add to the repertoire. She wants to put together a band that plans to stay and grow together by writing and performing. She has paid and non-paying opportunities to perform. Please be willing to do both. She is happy to find individuals and assemble the band and she is happy to work with people who already work with each other and have a rapport. Sound: Acoustic Folk/Soul/Pop: Jill Scott, Corinne Bailey Ray, Tracy Chapman, Norah Jones, Sara MacLaughlin but different, of course. Instruments needed: Drummer, Guitar, Bassist (acoustic and electric), and Key Board/Piano. One of the members will also act as the Musical Co-Director of the band and therefore must have a solid Music Theory background. And everyone in the band is welcome to submit music for her to write lyrics to.
